Meet Our Founder — A Brand Born From Real Moments at Home
Hi, I’m Yingwen Shan — and I’m the heart behind Loomie.
Loomie didn’t begin in a boardroom or with a business plan. It began in my kitchen. It began during the messy mealtimes, the endless wiping, the sweet giggles, and the small daily chaos of raising a little one.
As a mom, I found myself constantly hunting for products that worked — not just looked good on Instagram. I wanted bibs that stayed on, dishes that didn’t slide off the table, food molds that made mealtimes fun (instead of a fight), and designs that didn’t scream “baby” in fluorescent plastic. I needed things that made sense for real-life parenting — not idealized parenting.
So I built Loomie.
Loomie was born from the idea that smart design can make parenting easier, not harder. That a silicone bib isn’t just a product — it’s a peacekeeper. That a fun-shaped dumpling mold isn’t just cute — it’s a moment of connection between parent and child.
I wanted to build a brand that respects the small, often invisible work that goes into raising a child — and gives parents beautiful, functional tools to support those moments.
Why “Smart Design for Real-Life Parenting”?
Because parenting isn’t always picture-perfect.
It’s busy. It’s sticky. It’s joyful. It’s hard.
And we need products that honor that.
At Loomie, every item is designed with purpose — from the softness of our silicone, to the ease of cleaning, to the way a child’s hand naturally fits around a spoon. We collaborate with real parents, test with real kids, and ask: “Would I use this? Would I love this?”
The journey is just beginning.
We’re so excited to have you here. Whether you're discovering Loomie for the first time or you've already joined our little family — thank you. This brand is for you. For your mornings, your mealtimes, and every messy, magical moment in between.
With heart,
Yingwen
